The White Lotus is a Mike White and HBO original anthology series that combines elements of black comedy and drama. It follows the imaginary guests and staff members of the White Lotus resort chain, all of whom are dealing with psychological or social issues that negatively impact their vacation.
Both seasons take place in different locations; the first in Hawaii and the second in Sicily. The White Lotus, a limited series consisting of six episodes, debuted on July 11, 2021 to rave reviews and great viewership numbers.
Due to the show’s popularity, HBO has ordered a second season of the anthology series, which will broadcast on October 30, 2022. The show was picked up for a third season in November of 2022.
The majority of reviewers enjoyed the show. It won 10 Primetime Emmys and two Golden Globes, among other awards and was named one of the ten best television shows of 2021 and 2022 by the American Film Institute.
