On the morning of September 26th, the voice actor for the upcoming anime My Hero Academia, Yuki Kaji commented on a new character visual for the series’ Shoto Todoroki. In addition to Todoroki four other characters Izuku Midoriya, also known as Deku, Katsuki Bakugo, Tomura Shigaraki, and Dabi will receive special visuals in the days leading up to the October 1 premiere date of the anime, as announced on the official website.

Shoto Todoroki, a freshman at U.A. High School, is depicted in a recently released photo looking very serious. His name and his idiosyncrasy, “Half-Cold Half-Hot,” are both spelled
Yuki Kaji, who provides the male voice in the anime, describes the image as:
His intense stare stuck with me and I think it portends things to come in the sixth season. The scowling expression on his face in “World Heroes’ Mission” is excellent, but the fact that his eyes are so calmly confident in his identity as Shoto Todoroki is what sells it.
This season, the 37-year-old voice actor also recorded a special message for viewers:
After much anticipation, Season 6 has begun. Todoroki and the other characters have faced many lethal battles thus far. I’m confident that they’ve put in enough effort, but things are about to ramp up a notch. In a word, it’s hell. I think the greatest thing about “My Hero Academia” is that it shows that heroes can inspire hope even in the worst of times. Please team up and take them on! I am counting on your help! In other words, break the limits! To the extreme!

Drawing the My Hero Academia manga for Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine since July 2014 is Kohei Horikoshi. The first collected volume was published in November 2014, and the 36th volume is scheduled for release on October 4, 2022. The TV anime series is being animated by Studio Bones, and the sixth season is scheduled to premiere on October 1, 2022.
