JayDaYoungan was born on July 15, 1998, in Bogalusa, Louisiana. He was raised by his grandmother as his mom was serving in the Army whereas his father was sentenced to imprisonment throughout his growing years. His stepfather imbibed good traits in him and guided him a lot.
He initially wanted to be an NBA player and called Rajon Rondo his idol. However, his low grades made him unable to continue playing basketball while he was in high school. Around this time, he developed a passion for rapping and used to rap while growing up. His friends motivated him to drop his first official single. When he was in eleventh grade, he released his first single on YouTube. He then started performing in a number of clubs and after he began gaining recognition for his music, he dropped his studies in 12th grade.

In 2016, JayDaYoungan started his musical career with the release of his debut tape “YOUNGANimal,” and the next year he released “Ruffwayy.” It was until the release of his album titled “The Real Jumpman 23” which brought him immense fame. JayDaYoungan also rolled out some other projects like “Taking Off,” “Wake Up,” and “23.”

In 2019, JayDaYoungan was stopped by Florida Highway Patrol and was charged with unlawful possession of drugs. He was then released against a bail worth $2500. The next year, his home was raided by cops and a cash of $24,000 along with other firearms and Oxycodone. He was then detained several times in 2021 for several criminal charges.
On July 27, 2022, JayDaYoungan was shot outside his Louisiana home at the age of 24. Reportedly, he was rushed to hospital in critical condition but couldn’t survive.
