When Was Dale Warner Arrested?
Since Dee Warner vanished, her family including her adult children from a previous marriage has believed Dale Warner was her killer. In 2022, the family petitioned a probate court to declare Dee Warner deceased, having pressed law enforcement to press charges against him.
In the event that a judge ruled that Dale Warner is legally dead, family members said they intend to sue him for wrongful death. As part of the ongoing investigation into Warner’s disappearance, investigators executed search warrants at 70 Lenawee County properties over the course of several days in May 2022.
In August 2022, Michigan State Police Detective Daniel Drewyor testified during proceedings pertaining to the petition in probate court that Dale Warner is being looked into by authorities as a possible suspect in the murder of his wife. Drewyor said:
“Based off of my experience and that of my partner and the training the department has given us, Dee Warner is deceased.”
After an investigation, authorities arrested Dale Warner on Tuesday, November 21, 2023.

He has been charged with murder and was arraigned in Lenawee County, Mich., court Wednesday, November 22, 2023 morning. Below we shared a tweet that showed the arraignment of Dale Warner.

He also faces a felony charge of tampering with evidence. He pleaded not guilty in court on Wednesday, November 22 morning. Warner’s lawyer requested bail, but it was turned down, so he is still behind bars.
