Derek & Simon: The Show, a web sitcom they co-created with fellow comedian Bob Odenkirk, featuring the two of them. In 2005, they had a pilot agreement with HBO after making two short films, “Derek & Simon: The Pity Card” (with Zach Galifianakis and Bill Hader) and “Derek & Simon: A Bee and a Cigarette” (with Casey Wilson and Emily Rutherfurd).

He had a recurring role on the ABC sitcom Married to the Kellys in 2003. A number of shows have featured Waters, including The League, Funny or Die Presents, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Nick Swardson’s Pretend Time, Maron, Happy Endings, Suburgatory, The Sarah Silverman Program, Santa Clarita Diet, and The Middle.
