Serena Williams is a mom of two babies. The 41-year-old tennis legend and her tech entrepreneur husband Alexis Ohanian welcomed their second daughter on Tuesday, August 22, 2023.
The pair first announced the family’s baby news on TikTok. Williams posted a video that begins with the family sitting at a table, Olympia who will turn 6 in a month and Ohanian typed on a laptop.
Williams then stands up promises to return immediately and carries an infant snugly wrapped in a blanket. Her husband and daughter lean towards her as they resume their position between her and the newborn in her arms. You can watch their family video in a post provided below:

In video, Olympia occasionally leans in and kisses her little sister on the forehead. Polaroid-style pictures of the new foursome appear after the video. Ohanian was ecstatic to see Olympia’s excitement over having a younger sibling. The pleased father said:
“No one’s more excited than her, She’s been wanting this. She’s been praying and asking about this for quite some time, so she’s very ready.”
Ohanian also admitted that having his second child has given him more confidence than having his first. He explained:
“We’re not first-time parents anymore. I feel more confident about having a newborn, all of those things that I just had zero confidence about with Olympia because I’d never even been around babies at that point in my life, We’re also obviously taking every precaution and doing everything we can to make sure everything goes smoothly for Serena.”

The father of two babies revealed the name of their newborn girl in the caption of a family photo. He wrote:
“Welcome, Adira River Ohanian. I’m grateful to report our house is teaming [sic] with love: a happy & healthy newborn girl and happy & healthy mama. Feeling grateful. @serenawilliams, you’ve now given me another incomparable gift — you’re the GMOAT.”
