Release of a Brand New Kafka Hibino Visual for Kaiju No. 8

Kaiju No. 8 Anime

Naoya Matsumoto, as was previously said, wrote and drew the illustrations for Kaiju No. 8. It began serialization in July 2020 on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ app and website, and by March 2023, the chapters had been collected in nine tankobon volumes.

Fans of the series were excited by the new key image of Kafka Hibino that had been revealed by the official Kaiju No. 8 Twitter account. Many individuals were taken aback by Hibino’s overall character design, with some criticizing the shortness of her arms in particular. The vast majority of supporters, though, appear pleased.

Take a look at the below tweet about Kaiju No.8 character visual:

Kafka is depicted standing tall in his humanoid Kaiju form in the new image. The character design makes Kafka Hibino look like a tall man. Coal-black scales and plates cover much of Kafka, with cyan energy peeking through the crevices.

His skull-like head features two short, thick horns, a hole for a nose, and sharply protruding fangs, all of which give him a demonic appearance. Kafka appears to have cyan irises and black sclera, at least according to the design.

The new character designs have been met with great enthusiasm from fans, who are looking forward to seeing the anime adaptation.
