Heavenly Delusion Season 2: What is this Anime About?

Heavenly Delusion Season 2

Heavenly Delusion Season 2

This year has seen the introduction of a brand new anime series, Heavenly Delusion on both Disney+ and Hulu. The conclusion to this new post-apocalyptic series based on the manga is now available online. Since the series has ended, when can we expect to find out how people react to the changes in their world?

Heavenly Delusion Season 2 Air Time

After its premiere on April 1, Heavenly Delusion soon gained a devoted following. The anime’s second season has reportedly been renewed, though reliable leaker ECUF on Twitter warns that “It won’t be out for a while.”

This is to be expected given that the average production time for an episode of anime is between 8 and 12 weeks (as stated on Quora). Multiplying it by the number of episodes in the first season (13), we’re looking at a wait time of between two and three years. Sad trombone music, please.

Season 2 of Heavenly Delusion is on the way, albeit it may be a long before you see it. Beginning chapter 33 of the original manga series will adapt the A.I. Arc. If you’ve caught up with the anime and can’t wait for season two, you can continue the story in the Heavenly Delusion manga starting with chapter 33.

We have covered the release date of some latest anime which we have listed for you below:

What is Heavenly Illusion About?

Heavenly Delusion

It’s been fifteen years since a devastating disaster wiped out human civilization, leaving behind a barren wasteland teeming with dangerous man-eating animals. In the middle of all this upheaval, children have a safe haven in a hidden facility.

A small number of these kids however develop an interest in the world beyond the safety of the shelter. Elsewhere, two young survivors named Maru and Kiruko team up and set out on a journey to find a mythical safe haven called Heaven.

They get together in an effort to learn the truth about the brutality that has beset their lives and the planet they now occupy. The anime is based on Masakazu Ishiguro’s manga series of the same name originally published in Japanese with the kanji.

It has been captivating readers as a serial in Monthly Afternoon, a reputable seinen manga magazine published by Kodansha, since January 2018.

You can take a look at the tweet below:

Masakazu Ishiguro started working on Heavenly Delusion after suffering from writer’s block and leaving the manga magazine Young King Ours. The post-apocalyptic setting and the dynamic duo of Maru and Kiruko reminded him of Akira’s works and he had no idea.

In a departure from his previous work, And Yet the Town Moves, Ishiguro set out to examine the concept of “evil” in a new way within his manga.
