Eight more cast members have been added to “Squid Game” Season 2 on Netflix. For season two, the cast has expanded to include Park Gyu-young (“Sweet Home”), Jo Yu-ri (“D.P. “), Kang Ae-sim (“Be Melodramatic,” “Move to Heaven”), Lee David (“The Fortress,” “Svaha: The Sixth Finger”), Lee Jin-uk (“Sweet Home,” “Miss Granny”), Choi Seung-hyun (“Tazza: The Hidden Card”).

In addition to series regulars Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Gong Yoo, and Wi Ha-jun, Netflix earlier revealed that Yim Si-Wan, Kang Ha-Neul, Park Sung-Hoon, and Yang Dong-Geun will be joining the upcoming season.

The show’s originator, Hwang Dong-hyuk, will reprise his role as writer, director, and executive producer for Season 2. Kim Ji-yeon will serve in an executive capacity as well. The production company “Firstman Studio”
The first season of “Squid Game” premiered in September 2021 and quickly became Netflix’s most-watched television season ever, with over 2.2 billion hours viewed, or 265.2 million views.

Season one of the sitcom received a total of 14 Emmy nominations. In the end, it took home six awards, including Lee’s first-ever victory for outstanding actor in a Drama. Hwang further took home the Emmy for best drama direction.
