Some of the original cast members from the first season of Suid Game will come back for the second. New cast members and plot elements for the next installment were announced at a Brazilian event.
Yang Dong-guen, Park Sung-hoon, Kang Ha-neul, and Yim Si-wan are among the new cast members. Take a look at the post below by Filmfare in which they have confirmed the new cast:
Season 1 major characters Lee Jung-Jae, Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-jun, and Gong Yoo are all back, and they’re joined by these four new actors.

The original Squid Game was a smashing success all across the world. The survival thriller series received a record-breaking 14 Emmy nominations and took home a historic six awards. Lee Jung-Jae made history when he won the award for best actor as the first Asian actor to do so.
At a Netflix press conference in September 2022, director Hwang Dong-hyuk said that the second season would debut on the service in 2024.
Hwang said:
“We will start shooting Season 2 next year [in 2023] and it’ll be released the following year.”
There are high expectations for the second season of the Korean drama. In just 28 days, “Squid Game” garnered 1.65 billion hours of viewing time on Netflix. The cast and crew of “Squid Game” won a record number of Emmy’s due to the show’s historic viewership.
The series received a total of 14 nominations and six awards: best director, best production design, best special visual effects, best stunt performance, best guest actress for Lee You-mi, and best lead actor for Lee Jung-Jae, who was the first Asian actor to win in the category.

At the same Tudum event where the cast of Season 2 was revealed, Netflix also announced that the contentious unscripted competition spinoff “Squid Game: The Challenge” will air in November.
