Rising K-pop girl quintet Fifty Fifty has been embroiled in scandal. Attrakt, the group’s agent, claims Warner Music Korea tried to recruit members through a third party. Attrakt called on Warner Music Korea and a subcontracted outsourcing company to explain their position in a press statement.

The manager for the rising K-pop girl group Fifty Fifty said Monday that Warner Music Korea tried to hire away members of the group through a third party.

“Both a subcontracted outsourcing company and Warner Music Korea appear to be behind the recent attempt by an outside force to steal Fifty Fifty members,” Attrakt said in a press release.

The K-pop agency did not say who the outsourcing business was, though. It also said that it had written to Warner Music Korea to find out what was going on.

Attrakt said on Friday that members of the group have been approached by “outside forces” who are trying to get them to break their exclusive contracts with the agency and sign new ones instead. The company said it didn’t like the claims and pointed out that it has been working as the group’s global agent since April.

“We have made every effort to provide our capabilities and network to enhance the remarkable achievements attained by “Fifty Fifty and its agency,” it said in a statement. “However, we are deeply disappointed by the unsavory allegations that have been raised.

The K-pop quartet debuted in November, and their new song “Cupid” made them the fastest K-pop group ever to get on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 Songs list. The song has been on the chart and the British Official Singles Chart for 13 weeks in a row.

This makes Fifty Fifty the K-pop girl group that has been on both lists the longest. The group is taking a short break because one of its members just had surgery and will need another one or two months to heal, according to the agency that represents it.
