The full episode of The Good Fight Season 3 Episode 4: “The One with Lucca Becoming a Meme” is available on Paramount Plus. The episode opens with Marissa and Jay staring out the office windows and discussing the stormy conditions outside.

For them, this is a very unusual occurrence. According to last week’s episode in which Diane’s fateful encounter with Roland Blum on a stormy night leads to her being back on the NSA’s radar, we know that bad weather is a harbinger of tr0uble, but we couldn’t have predicted just how much destruction the storm would cause.

In the first scene, Maia discusses her cocἀine arɼest with her business partners. One of the partners considers firἰng her after she leaves justifying the move by citing the way they deἀlt with another associate’s drμg chἀrge.

Adrian, Diane and Liz all agree that this is too severe a punishment, so they agree to evaluate the facts and think about suspending the major players while they deliberate.

The episode ends with Maia being fἰred. That’s shocking on its own but the episode’s buildup to that point is much more shocking. It is not the result of discovering new evidence that supports their case. Instead, it’s the result of a few seemingly insignificant choices that have far-reaching negative effects and highlight the company’s racial inequities.
