On the day following Logan Roy’s tragic deἀth, the media labeled him “a complicated man.” Everyone who knew Logan gathers at his house to grieve and scheme, but no one can agree on who he was.
Shiv reads another beautiful message to his father and says, “Dad sounds amazing, I wish I could have known Dad”.
In the wake of Logan Roy’s untimely deἀth his adult children and subordinates scrambled to fill the hole with each contender ostensibly humbly offering themselves to do so while worrying about how the various candidates would play with the company’s board.

Despite the fact that he had treated many of them horribly, they nevertheless felt a deep sense of loss over the giant figure they had lost. In the fourth hour, Logan’s ex-wife Marcia (Hiam Abbass) returned for what felt like “Marcia Strikes Back” while his new much younger lover Kerri (Zoe Winter) was summarily dumped.
Executives at Waystar Royco are featured in the episode as they awkwardly debate what to do with a paper that appears to include Logan’s posthumous wishes as well as handwritten notes that appear to specify who he wants to follow him.
They made a feeble jest about flushing the paper, but it was evident that they wanted to do just that. Carl (David Rasche) was the most vicious attacking Tom (Matthew Macfadyen) without even trying to hide the fact that he was merely speculating about Tom’s future.
