Bryan Marchment, a longtime NHL defenceman pἀssed away on July 6, 2022, at the age of 53, the league said. Marchment was a scout for the San Jose Sharks at the upcoming NHL Draft and was supposedly dἰed in Montreal.
Sources said, Rick Curran, Bryan’s agent informed that the 53-year-old Bryan had pἀssed away. Bryan was dἰed while on a scouting trip to Montreal for the Sharks’ NHL Draft delegation.
Before disclosing Bryan’s cause of deἀth, the Marchment family may be awaiting the findings of an autopsy. Bryan’s cause of deἀth is unknown yet. Bryan’s agent, Rick Curran confirmed the actor’s deἀth to the media source.
A 17-year NHL veteran, Marchment’s career took him to the rosters of the Jets, Blackhawks, Whalers, Oilers, Lightning, Sharks, Avalanche, Maple Leafs and Flames.
He’s done a variety of jobs for the Sharks and their AHL affiliate since 2007 including scout. On the other hand, Bryan’s deἀth might be kept a family secret. Many of his admirers have posted heartfelt tributes and analyses of his talent on social media.

Mike Grier who took over as general manager of the Sharks the day before Marchment pἀssed away has spoken publicly about the impact of Marchment’s pἀssing:
“He meant a lot to a lot of people in our organization, our players, our staff and everyone who knew Brian for the kind of man he was and this is a sad day for all of us. Simply put, he was a kind man who genuinely cared about those around him. Everyone in the establishment was a priority for him. He was friendly and approachable to everyone he met.”
Former Oilers teammate and friend Grier spoke highly of Marchment’s work ethic and vowed that the organization will have the best draft possible in Marchment’s memory once the staff had finished grieving. He said:
“I allowed them some time to regroup and have some time to themselves to digest and grieve, I know ‘Mush’ that’s what he would say. We know he would want us to get back to work and produce the finest possible draft, so we will”.
