It was said that drug intoxication was the cause of deἀth for “16 and Pregnant” star Jordan Cashmyer. It was informed by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the Maryland Department of Health that Cashmyer, who was 26 years old at the time of her deἀth on January 15, had fentanyl, des propionyl fentanyl, and cocἀine in her system. According to the agency, the cause of deἀth is “undetermined,” which means it is unknown if the overd0se was accidental or purposeful.
The news of Jordan Cashmyer’s deἀth was originally shared on Facebook by Cashmyer’s stepmother, Jessica Cashmyer, along with a black-and-white photo of the late reality star, on the page of Cashmyer’s father, Dennis M. Cashmyer Jr.
I got a call last night that no parent ever wants to get. At the young age of 26, my eldest and dearest daughter Jordan passed away. Our entire beings have been shattered. “Never, ever, ever, should a parent have to go through the pain of losing a child,” Jessica wrote.
I ask that you remember my family in your prayers as we deal with this horrible catastrophe. We ask that you please respect our need for privacy at this time. Our children, our grandchild Lyla, and our extended family all love and support us.
Howard Wood, Jordan’s representative, issued a statement confirming her passing as well, saying, “I got the news last night after returning from a business trip and all I can say is that this is an incredibly sad day.”
“The last time I spoke with Jordan, she sounded happy and healthy,” Wood continued. “I wish people had the opportunity to know her away from her struggles as she was a very sweet and kind hearted person. I’m grateful I had the chance to know and work with her all these years. Life was not always good to her and I hope now she is in a better place. RIP sweet girl.”
Jordan, her then-boyfriend Derek Taylor and their daughter Genevieve “Evie” Shae Taylor all made an appearance on the MTV reality show in 2014.
