Christopher Lee Watts an American oil field operator, k!lled his pregnant wife Shanann and murd*red their two young daughters, Bella and Celeste in the early hours of August 13, 2018, in Frederick, Colorado. Near an oil storage site, he threw his children’s remains into crude oil tanks and buried Shanann in a shallow grave.
Watts denied any involvement in the disappearance of his family at first, but on August 15 he was arrested after confessing to the murd*r of his wife, Shanann. He admitted to k!lling his kids afterward.
As part of a plea bargain, Watts pleaded guilty to numerous charges of first-degree murd*r on November 6, 2018, before Colorado eliminated the dea†h sentence in 2020. He received five consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole.

Two days after Shanann’s murd*r, authorities in Frederick, Colorado recovered her bl00d stained shirt from the scene of the heinous crime. The police report states that Shanann was last seen wearing “a purpose t-shirt, a pair of blue underpants and a black br@” before her body was discovered.
When Chris slashed Shanann’s throat and put her body in a shallow dirt grave, she was wearing a black bra. The male officer told the female officer that the bl00d-stained sheet included “quite a bit of dirt,” making the statement while they were logging the sheet into evidence.
