Kate Bosworth and Justin Long confirmed their engagement on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 via their Instagram pages. Long wrote in the post’s description “She said YES”, showing off a shot of the “Blue Crush” star wearing an engagement ring.
To this, he wrote, he is eternally grateful for having discovered a companion who makes each day SO full, whose sheer existence is a reminder of the beauty and brevity of life and who makes me giggle from the minute we wake up to the one I begrudgingly fall asleep.
Bosworth said, “I thought it was the most romantic and honest and loving proposal”. Bosworth wrote in her post, “If life is short, find the one who brings you endless peace and radical wonder. @justinlong I am so grateful it’s you”.
On Tuesday’s episode of Long’s “Life is Short podcast“, Bosworth said that Long proposed to her one morning in bed.
She said:
“I thought it was just the most romantic, loving and honest proposal”.
After working together on the 2021 film House of Darkness in Arkansas, the Remember the Titans star and the He’s Just Not That Into You actor initially sparked dating rumors in March 2022 when they were photographed in Los Angeles.
Not long after, they were seen on camera holding hands in Times Square and locking lips on a Hawaiian beach. In a podcast interview that May, Long finally discussed his relationship, adding, “I’ve never had anything like this before.”
Before making his Instagram account public, Bosworth paid a fun and affectionate tribute to Long with a carousel of photographs.
Long and Bosworth stepped out together last month in Hollywood Hills, California, for the 2023 Vanity Fair Oscar Party. Many speculated that the two had secretly gotten engaged after seeing Bosworth pose with a diamond on her finger.
A Bosworth insider told later in March, “Kate is simply on cloud nine” after hearing the news that the couple was engaged and planning to marry. To her pals she proudly displays her engagement ring. She’s cagey about specifics, but clearly thrilled.
