Two more manga titles were canceled by Shueisha’s Shonen Jump last month. Nothing surprised because Shonen Jump did it from time to time.
The slaughter started in February 2023, with a statement on Shonen Jump Twitter that High School Family: Kokosei Kazoku, will going to off the air which was premiered continuously from 2020. After 122 chapters it was stopped.
A few days later another statement was posted regarding another hit series PPPPPP, which was stopped publishing after 70 chapters instantly. Why they canceled it? To know the reason behind read on.
Why Shonen Jump Cancels High School Family & PPPPPP?
Though there is nothing shocking because both series were running for a long time and were “too big to fail”, so they were shut down suddenly without any signs. Shonen Jump is always clear with its intentions. If a series could not be connected with fans it means it may be a flop.

In 2022 it seems that Yuta Momiyama, editor of the Shueisha explain how people accept a new title. What they wanted to be served by series to be connected? Both the series was stopped after 122 and 70 chapters which means the public give them numbers.
Does Shonen Jump Have Replacements For These Two Mangas?
Yes, you can the most appropriate reason to remove any show. Obviously, Shonen may be removing these titles when it gets better replacements. After the new announcement of some series like Jujutsu Kaisen, One Piece, and My Hero Academia; Shonen Jump confirm 10 new titles in January. Everyone believes that Shonen Jump removes both shows High School Family and PPPPPP as they get a better replacement.
