The Houston Police Department reports that on Friday morning, three bodies were discovered in what seems to be a murder-suicide in the southwest portion of the city.
The bodies of a man, a woman, and a teenager were reportedly discovered, all of whom were considered to be in their late 60s or early 70s by police.
A woman’s panicked call to 911 set off this chain of events. It was reported that the dispatcher overheard the woman say “don’t injure guys” and a male voice say “hang up the phone” in the background. Then the dispatcher overheard gunfire.
The report came from a house on Indigo Street in the Meyerland neighborhood, so officers and Houston firefighters raced there immediately. The police say they arrived too late, but they did find what they assume to be a parent and child in their 60s.

Police said they discovered one of the male victims in the living area and another in the hallway. A bedroom search revealed the woman. The HPD has stated that the father is believed to have pulled the trigger, therefore ending his own life and the lives of his family members.
