Celebrity TikTok users have speculated that Selena Gomez is being bullied by “mean girls” and that she has suffered emotional and physical harm at the hands of the media. This week, Gomez and Kylie Jenner addressed fan rumors that Jenner and Gomez’s ex-husband Justin Bieber’s wife Hailey Bieber had made fun of Gomez’s eyebrows by posting separate comments on three separate TikToks.
She also responded to a fourth TikTok where the user said fans should stop harassing Gomez and Hailey because the two would never see the hateful comments on their sites. In response, Gomez just said, “facts” to defend herself and Hailey.
PopFaction, a fan account for celebrity news, first noticed Gomez’s TikTok activity when she defended her longtime pal Taylor Swift in a TikTok that featured old footage of Hailey pointing her tongue out whenever Swift’s album was mentioned. Gomez said –
“So sorry, my best friend is and continues to be one of the best in the game.”

On a subsequent TikTok, Gomez expressed her gratitude to a fan for expressing her condolences for everything that Gomez had to experience in public, including witnessing Justin marry Hailey so soon after their almost ten-year on-off relationship came to an end in the spring of 2018.

In June 2018, Justin and Hailey rekindled their romance. They became engaged in July, and they were wed in September. The TikTok user listed out all Gomez has gone through, saying –

Does anyone just ever feel really bad for Selena Gomez? Like, can you imagine going through a breakup so publicly with a guy that you were in love with for like, seven years, and then like, two months later he just marries someone?…

And then you have a like, chronic illness or autoimmune disease—sorry, I don’t know too much about lupus, but I can’t imagine that it’s fun—and living with that and the flareups, just having to live with it in the public eye while people are watching you and then having to deal with mental health when life is hard enough already?..

Honestly, kudos to her for being so brave and so public and just like, so open about her journey. But I bet if we ever walked a day in her shoes where everything is so publicized, and like you say one thing and everybody comes after you and all this stuff, like that would be so hard….

So whenever I think about a hard day, I think about Selena Gomez. I feel bad saying that but if she can do it, everyone can.”

Gomez commented, “That made me cry thank you!” Gomez claimed that her breakup with Justin was the “greatest thing” to have ever happened to her in the documentary My Mind and Me.

She said –
“I feel like I had to go through the worst possible heartbreak ever and then just forget everything at the drop of a hand, it was really confusing.”
“But I just think that needed to happen and ultimately it was the best thing that ever happened to me.”
With all the “mean girl” abuse that followers feel Gomez is experiencing from Kylie Jenner, Hailey, and other women, a fan declared on the third TikTok that she was now officially backing Gomez.

Gomez left an “I love you” remark on the article, standing up for her against the abuse she has received from “mean girls and no babies.” Importantly, the user particularly criticized Jenner for how she treated Gomez, even though Gomez didn’t respond to those allegations.
