Meet Joel Valdez, Matt Gaetz’s trusted aide who is currently in the spotlight for his views on sending US financial aid to Ukraine. Florida’s freshman congressman, Matt Gaetz has been a divisive figure online after he made comments about the conflict in Ukraine and Russia.
Even after President Vladimir Zelensky’s decision to fire top officials in a crackdown on corruption, he is publicly against providing Ukraine with additional US financial aid. According to Gaetz’s Fox News interview, No amount of purges will convince him to change his mind about funding Ukraine.
Gaetz can always count on his communications director Joel Valdez, who started working for him in 2021, despite his many detractors. This is all the information we have gathered thus far about him.
Who is Joel Valdez Gaetz?
Since April 2021, Valdez has been working as Gaetz’s director of communications. He was born on February 11 making him about 23 years old when he finished high school in 2017. He attended and graduated from UIC College Prep.

He grew up in the city’s south side and attended the University of Illinois at Chicago before spending a year at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he majored in political science. His political involvement at the time included Turning Point USA, the Illini Republicans and United Illini.
Starting in 2019, he worked as an intern for Mark Meadows, the representative for North Carolina’s 11th congressional district. Initially, Valdez worked as a month-long intern for Gaetz’s team in 2020 and then she became a Trump War Room analyst. In April 2020, he started as Gaetz’s press assistant and is now the director of communications.

Roe V. Wade Was Overturned In Front Of Joel Valdez
Roe v. Wade, the landmark legislation that legalised abortion through the first two trimesters, was overturned on June 24, 2022. Valdez, in his capacity as Gaetz’s spokesman, commented on the turnaround in an appearance on the conservative network RSBN (Right Side Broadcasting Network) and Gaetz’s Firebrand podcast.
“Millions of babies will no longer have to die at the hands of deranged leftists” Valdez, executive producer of Firebrand, promised viewers. Both opponents and proponents of the decision were featured in the programme.
