With the help of the USA show, Paul has joined Austin’s pit crew and he and his wife have also opened their home to cameras for the first time.

Paul revealed that there are talks about a second season of Austin Dillon’s Life in the Fast Lane and the good news for fans is that both he and Mariel are willing to return for it even though the USA has not yet officially renewed the show for a second season. This is, of course, predicated on there being a third season.
Paul admitted We don’t know anything for sure yet. We’re trying to figure out how to do that by talking to our producers and all that. However, he emphasized that everybody really wants it. Paul claims that Season 2 is likely to be produced. Now we’re all just waiting for official word. Paul and Mariel told us it was difficult to film a reality show while they were both emotionally raw.
In the season one finale, Mariel gives birth to their daughter Bella and the experience is very different for her because of the presence of cameras. Mariel said that although giving birth in front of cameras was an emotionally vulnerable experience, to be able to share that with the viewers is something special. In spite of all of this, Paul and Mariel have had a wonderful time working on a TV show with their closest friends and sharing their struggles with them.

Why Paul and Mariel are not interested in their own Show?
Paul and Mariel, Austin Dillon and his wife’s best friends have become favorites among viewers of Life in the Fast Lane. Questions have been raised as to whether or not the duo would be interested in a spinoff. They’re content with their current situation, though. You can’t be too upset that Paul and Mariel are having a good time on set with their pals, as they told Distractify.
As we’ve already established, they’re all true besties in real life. Having a job where you get paid to hang out with your friends all day every day sounds like a pretty sweet deal to me. Though Paul did make a joke about Mariel being ideal for a Real Housewives show. And Mariel suggested to Paul that he would excel in a show as A Challenge and Paul agreed.
Maybe in the future, even if they don’t leave their current show, Paul will show how much of a fierce competitor he is on another reality show. But until then, Paul and Mariel will be watching Season 2 of Austin Dillon’s Life in the Fast Lane. Life in the Fast Lane starring Austin Dillon airs on USA every Thursday at 9 and 9:30 p.m. ET.
