Perhaps the fact that his father had made cheating seem so commonplace explained why he had never felt bad about it. Dom’s visit to Sicily has opened his eyes to what’s important in life and reinforced his resolve to avoid following in his father’s footsteps.

Quentin’s palazzo in Palermo extended an invitation for Tanya and Portia to spend two nights there. After packing their fun, glamorous outfits, Tanya and Portia were ready for a new adventure. Tanya was thinking about how Quentin got to Italy while Jack and Portia made out on the yacht. He said his father had gone to Sicily and left the villa to him to maintain after he passed away. The Italian lifestyle Portia had always imagined for herself was becoming a reality. In every way, Jack exceeded her wildest expectations. He snuck her out of the villa and took her around Palermo.
After exploring the villa, Tanya was completely awestruck. She mentioned that she found it comforting to be around other wealthy people since she knew they weren’t wanting her wealth. In passing, Quentin stated their desire to obtain heritage subsidies from the government; however, in order to do so, the villa would need to be made accessible to the general public and at this time, they are not prepared to do so.
His group of friends decided to take Tanya to see “Madama Butterfly” since she deserved no less than to be treated as one of Puccini’s tragic heroines. Tanya, while at the opera, hypothesized that the woman in the row next to them might be the Queen of Sicily. Tanya was never going to convince Quentin that she was an intellectual, so he opted to play along and validate her claim that she was the queen.
