The Last of Us: Supposedly, the US premiere of The Last of Us on HBO will take place on January 15, 2023, as indicated by the show’s official listing.

A number of sources claim that the premiere date for HBO’s The Last of Us adaption has been accidentally revealed through the HBO Max app and website. Despite there being no official announcement, the January launch date has been confirmed by Eurogamer to be present in the description of the Season 1 Sneak Peek, which is presently available to HBO account holders in the US.

“This is a sneak peek at the post-apocalyptic drama series adapted from the award-winning video game. Release date: January 15 “a screenshot of the listing shows that this is what the summary says.

Promotional materials for the show have apparently been posted by UK broadcaster Sky with a launch date of January 16, 2023. Time zone differences mean that most episodes of HBO show to air on Sunday in the United States, while in the United Kingdom, the same episode airs in the early hours of Monday morning.

Nico Parker plays Joel’s daughter Sarah, Murray Bartlett plays Frank, Nick Offerman plays Bill, Jeffrey Pierce plays Perry, and Anna Torv plays Tess.

Gabriel Luna plays Joel’s brother Tommy and Merle Dandridge plays Marlene, the leader of the rebel group called the Fireflies. The actors who played Joel and Ellie in the “Last of Us” video game and its sequels will also make appearances in the show, though their roles have yet to be revealed.

“From what I’ve seen of the show and what we shot, it’s very true and authentic to the game,” he said. “I’m hoping the fans will be over the moon with it and it will spawn a load of new fans who will be introduced to it through the show rather than the video game.”

The Last of Us will reportedly follow Joel and Ellie as they travel through a post-apocalyptic America and learn to rely on each other for survival, just like the video game did. The showrunners of the HBO adaptation intended to “improve” the game, so some of the stories in the first season’s ten episodes “deviate substantially” from what came before.

Craig Mazin, who won an Emmy for his work on “Chernobyl,” is a co-creator and executive producer on the show, along with Neil Druckmann, co-president of Naughty Dog, the video game firm that developed “The Last of Us.”

The executive producers are Carlyle Strauss, Evan Wells, Asad Qizilbash, Carter Swan and Rose Lam. A few of the directors are Kantemir Balagov, Jamila bani, Ali Abbasi, Peter Hoar, Jeremy Webb, and Liza Johnson. Production companies PlayStation Productions, Word Games, The Mighty Mint, and Naughty Dog collaborated with Sony Pictures Television on the series.

The first full trailer for HBO’s The Last of Us featured gameplay from the PlayStation exclusive, including the game’s memorable opening sequence. Additional shots of the overgrown United States, appearances by familiar faces, and the first look of the infected enemies the Clickers were all included in the footage.
