Elizabeth II Early Life

Prince Albert and  Elizabeth’s first baby was named Elizabeth II, born on 21 April 1926. She has a younger sister named Princess Margaret born in 1930.

Both princesses were educated by Marion Crawford at their home and later Crawford launched a biography titled “The Little Princess” in 1950, in which you can read all about Elizabeth and her sister’s story during childhood. Winston Churchill mentions Elizabeth as “a character.

She has an air of authority and reflectiveness astonishing in an infant.” Her cousin Margaret Rhodes stated her as “a jolly little girl, but fundamentally sensible and well-behaved”.

Elizabeth II: Career

To become Queen Elizabeth was in the third position after her grandfather’s resignation. First, her uncle Edward, second her father, and then she stands. In 1936 her grandfather died and her uncle Edward became the king but after some time he abandoned his position her father Prine Albert was the new king as the name George VI. Now Elizabeth was an upcoming succeeder and attended Eton Collage for history classes, from Henry Marten.

Second World War

In 1939, at the time of the second world war, Lord Hailsham advised sending both Princess Canada as they had no effect of bombing. But their mother denied that  “The children won’t go without me. I won’t leave without the King. And the King will never leave.”

In 1940, Elizabeth broadcast her radio act on BBC’s Children’s Hour to address other children by saying, “We are trying to do all we can to help our gallant sailors, soldiers, and airmen, and we are trying, too, to bear our own share of the danger and sadness of war. We know, every one of us, that in the end, all will be well.”

On her 18th birthday, she join parliament as a Counsellor, and after ending the war in Europe she again meets her sister and stated in an interview, “We asked my parents if we could go out and see for ourselves. I remember we were terrified of being recognized… I remember lines of unknown people linking arms and walking down Whitehall, all of us just swept along on a tide of happiness and relief.”

On her 21st birthday, British Commonwealth held and she said,  “I declare before you all that my whole life, whether it be long or short, shall be devoted to your service and the service of our great imperial family to which we all belong.”

In 1945 Albert faced health issues and then Elizabeth attended events at his place. After visiting Canada and Washington D.C. at president Harry S. Truman’s residence in 1953 her coronation go ahead as Mary pledged. The ceremony was held in Westminster Abbey and countries that appeared in the commonwealth were defined on her Gown. After her accession, Elizabeth went on a world tour for seven months with her husband.

In 1961, she visited Cyprus, India, Pakistan, Nepal, and Iran. Harold Macmillan described, “The Queen has been determined all through … She is impatient of the attitude towards her to treat her as … a film star … She has indeed ‘the heart and stomach of a man’ … She loves her duty and means to be a Queen.” 

In 1981 at the event of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer, six times fired at Elizabeth. A 17-year guy was arrested and five years in prison was sentenced to him. Again the second attempt was did in the same year in New Zealand, but not succeed.

In 1997 Diana and Charles divorced and Diana was killed in a car accident. In 1997 Elizabeth and Philps went on a controversial tour in India, especially Jallianwala Bagh, as people chanted against her “Killer Queen, go back. In 2002 they celebrate their Golden Jubilee of her coronation.

In 2007 her great-grandmother Queen Victoria died as she is the longest reigning queen after King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia.

At the time of COVID-19, she broadcast by television to all U.K. citizens “take comfort that while we may have more still to endure, better days will return: we will be with our friends again; we will be with our families again; we will meet again.”

Her husband Philps dies in 2021, after 73 years of marriage, and because f COVID-19 she remains alone at her husband’s funeral. Also, she gave a tribute to her husband with a television broadcast program, “beloved Philip”, saying, “That mischievous, inquiring twinkle was as bright at the end as when I first set eyes on him”. In 2022, she celebrates her platinum jubilee as she completes 70 years of thrones.

The same year, Elizabeth found positive for COVID-19 and then cancelled her upcoming meetings. On 6 Sept. 2022, she appointed Liz Truss as the 15th British Prime Minister. She meets Justin Welby who, “came away thinking there is someone who has no fear of death, has hope in the future, knows the rock on which she stands and that gives her strength.”

Elizabeth II saw her future husband in 1934 Prince Philip. When she was just 13 she asked that she was in love with Philip. At 21 age in 1947, their relationship changed into engagement officially.

As Philip was not economically strong than Marion Crawford wrote, “Some of the King’s advisors did not think him good enough for her. He was a prince without a home or kingdom. Some of the papers played long and loud tunes on the string of Philip’s foreign origin.”

As he was the successor of Greek and Danish families so he announced his name as Duke of Edinburgh and then they married in 1947 at Westminister Abbey. In 1948, this couple was blessed with their first child Prince Charles, in 1950 second child was a princess come in world name Anne.

Elizabeth II: Death

Elizabeth died on 8 September 2022 at her residence Buckingham Place. The statement read, “Following further evaluation this morning, the Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision. The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral.”

All children and daughter-in-law and her grandsons Prince Williams and Prince Harry also at that spot. After the Queen’s death, Prince Charles give a tribute to his mother on Twitter by saying, “The death of my beloved Mother, Her Majesty The Queen, is a moment of the greatest sadness for me and all members of my family,” the statement read.

“We mourn profoundly the passing of a cherished sovereign, and much-loved mother. I know her loss will be deeply felt throughout the country, the Realms, and the Commonwealth, and by countless people around the world. During this period of mourning and change, my family and I will be comforted and sustained by our knowledge of the respect and deep affection on which The Queen was so widely held.”
