A Career in Music:

Stefani’s elder brother Eric persuaded her to join No Doubt, a ska band he had created, in 1986. Eric played keyboards for the band.

They joined Interscope Records in 1991, and their self-titled debut studio album was released in 1992. While grunge was more popular at the time, No Doubt’s third album, “The tragic Kingdom” (1995), contained the single “Don’t Speak,” which went on to top the Hot 100 Airplay year-end list two years after its 1997 release.

The album was nominated for a Grammy and had sold more than 16 million copies worldwide by 2004. No Doubt released the album “Return of Saturn” in 2000, followed by “Rock Steady” in 2001.

The content from “Rock Steady” in particular was extremely successful; the singles “Hey Baby” and “Underneath It All” won Grammy Awards. While No Doubt achieved widespread recognition, Stefani concentrated on other projects.

She teamed with the Brian Setzer Orchestra on “You’re the Boss,” Moby on “South Side,” and Eve on “Let Me Blow Ya Mind,” which earned a Grammy Award for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration in 2002.

Stefani released her self-titled first album, “Love. Angel. Music. Baby,” in 2004. (also known as “L.A.M.B.”). It debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 list in the United States and eventually achieved multi-platinum status in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada.

The album’s significant singles are “Hollaback Girl,” which became her first U.S. No. 1 and the first U.S. music download to sell more than one million copies.

In December 2006, she released her second solo album, “The Sweet Escape.” The album’s title tune charted in the top ten in over fifteen countries and earned a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals.

The single “Wind It Up” reached the top ten in the United States and the United Kingdom. While Stefani marketed “The Sweet Escape” on her 2007 Sweet Escape Tour, which included dates in North America, Europe, Asia, the Pacific, and Latin America, No Doubt began production on a new album without her.

Following her tour, the development of the next No Doubt album was postponed further by her pregnancy. No Doubt released their sixth studio album, “Push and Shove,” in September 2012.

Stefani’s third solo album, “This Is What the Truth Feels Like,” was released in 2016 but omitted the majority of the material she began working on in 2014, including the hits “Baby Don’t Lie” (2014) and “Spark the Fire” (2015).

The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, becoming her first solo No. 1 album. She has recently released the Christmas CD “You Make It Feel Like Christmas” (2017) and launched her first residency, dubbed Just a Girl: Las Vegas, at the Zappos Theater in Las Vegas in June 2018.

Private Life:

Stefani married Gavin Rossdale, the rock band Bush’s guitarist and lead singer, in 2002. Kingston James McGregor Rossdale was born in 2006, and Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale was born in 2008.

On August 3, 2015, Stefani stated that she had filed for divorce from Rossdale after 13 years of marriage. In 2015, she began dating Blake Shelton, her “The Voice” co-judge.

Residential Real Estate:

Stefani and Rossdale paid $13.25 million for a huge Beverly Hills estate from property/nightclub billionaire Sam Nazarian in 2006.

Nazarian purchased the mansion for $11 million from Jennifer Lopez in 2004. Lopez purchased the property for $4 million in 2000. Stefani held possession of the home during their 2016 divorce.

She offered the home for $35 million shortly after the divorce. In 2019, she eventually found a buyer for $21.65. Sebastian Maniscalco, a comedian, was the buyer this time. Stefani also owns at least two additional properties in Los Angeles, which are significantly less lavish.
