A Series of Unfortunate Events

It is very likely that you must have read the books, or at least heard about them at some point in your life. But, did you know there is a Netflix series of the same name for the books too? The best part is, that the show is very similar and true to the books.

The show is about the Baudelaire orphans whose parents were murdered in a fire, leaving behind an enormous fortune for the three siblings, Violet, Klaus, and Sunny. The show is narrated by a fictional Lemony Snicket, the author of the books, played by Patrick Warburton.

The show revolves around the three siblings who are shuffled between guardians before the guardians are murdered by Count Olaf (played by Neil Patrick Harris), who is after the orphans’ fortune.

The three siblings narrowly escape death and keep moving from guardian to guardian, all the while trying to figure out how and why their parents were murdered and what they had to do with a secret society that they were a part of.

The Haunting of Hill House

One of the best horror shows to exist till now, The Haunting of Hill House is about the Crain family and all the troubles they face at Hill House while the house challenges their sanity.

The show is based on the book by Shirley Jackson and is very true to it, bringing all the experiences to life. The show is about 5 siblings and their parents and all the ordeals they face in the house.

Not only does the show focus on their childhood but it also emphasizes present times as well after they have grown up and have left Hill House.

The horrors of the house follow them wherever they go and as much as they try to escape the house, they just can’t seem to do so. To experience the horrors of the show, you will have to binge it yourself, which you can easily do in one night.

The Crown

The Crown

What are the dark secrets behind the royal family of Britain? Find out in The Crown, which focuses on the life of Queen Elizabeth and all the hurdles she had to face from a personal and a political perspective.

The Queen had to deal with issues such as the Suez Crisis and the Prime Minister’s resignation. The show also emphasizes the death of Princess Diana and the possible speculations about her death.

While it seems like Princess Diana’s life must have been a bed of roses, The Crown shows how difficult it was for Princess Diana to survive with the Royal Family and how she tried to fit in but she could not.

Harry and Meghan

Speaking of the Royal Family, there is also a newly released docuseries about the life of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and how they left the Royal Family to live a life of more privacy and comfort. The show explains the hurdles that both of them had to face before their marriage and after their marriage as well.

While everything might seem like sunshine and rainbows for the two, it actually was not. There was a lot that the two of them had to endure but where there is a will, there is a way. The fact that love always finds a way also has an important role to play in the lives of Harry and Meghan.

Cobra Kai

The Karate Kid Sequel Cobra Kai

A true fan would always remember that “Cobra Kai never dies!” That is exactly the case with the show Cobra Kai which picks up years after the events of Karate Kid.

The show stars Ralph Macchio after all these years again as he takes on the mantle of Daniel LaRusso and he is joined by William Zabka who plays Johnny Lawrence.

It is great to see both of them after all these years and the show also marks the return of other characters from the movies such as Terry Silver and John Kreese, both of which were major enemies to Daniel.

Not only does the show continue Daniel’s story but it also continues his legacy through his daughter, Samantha LaRusso, and Johnny’s son Robby Keene.
