His close friend and former Strictly co-star Kristina Rihanoff hinted that he may have taken his own life. She wrote:

“There are no words to express the pain. Robin wasn’t just my dance partner, he was a friend and together we shared endless experiences from our career highlights to hitting rock bottom of rejection. Many of you, who went to see his farewell tour, know perfectly well that he spoke very openly about his mental health struggles and thoughts of suicide.”

Was Robin Windsor Suffering From Any Illness Before His Death?

It is not yet confirmed from which illness Robin Windsor was suffering from. But he was battling against mental health struggles. On January 4, 2024, Robin shared a message with his friends and followers on Instagram in which he said:

“Big shout out and love to everyone who’s reached out and checked in the last week. Sorry I have not replied… it’s been a bit of a trying time and things are looking up. Robin.”

Robin Windsor’s loved ones are deeply affected by his death. They remember him by sharing tributes on social media. Craig Revel Horwood, the longest-serving judge described Robin as one of the kindest, gentle, honest, funny and caring people.

Judge Shirley Ballas tweeted:

“I’m very saddened to hear the devastating news about this beautiful human being this morning. Robin Windsor… kind, gracious, gentle and extremely hard working. A wonderful dancer, true gentleman, good soul & so very young. You will be missed by so many. Rest in Peace.”
