Ratajkowski opened up about her weight loss on the Nov. 29, 2022 episode of her podcast, “High Low” where she talked to her guest, Mia Khalifa about how trauma affects the body. She said:
“I think trauma lives in the body. That’s been my experience. When I’m really unwell, I lose so much weight. I was down to 100 pounds recently and it was really, really scary.”
Ratajkowski’s weight loss harmed her health and well-being. She said on her podcast:
“For me, it’s a huge game-changer and how I know I’m happy. I’m not happy when I’m 100 pounds. I’m not healthy. I’m not well. I’m not myself.”
She also said that she felt insecure about her appearance and how people perceived her. She said:
“I think people have this idea of me that I’m this confident, s*xy person and I’m not. I’m really not. I’m really insecure. I’m really shy. I’m really self-conscious. And I think that’s something that people don’t really understand about me.”
