Ariel passed away shortly after turning seven years old. Elizabeth passed away on December 3, 1994. Glaser and his son Jake, who was also infected with HIV through Elizabeth’s blood transfusion, survived and became advocates for HIV/AIDS awareness and research.
As an abstract artist, Glaser has adopted a new position in recent years. He is now the honorary chairman of the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the memory of his late wife and daughter.
Grief, remorse and resiliency have all been a part of his path and he has since turned into a champion for HIV research and awareness. Despite the difficulties, Glaser expresses gratitude for the opportunities these experiences have given him to comprehend life on a deeper level.
