What is Porter Wagoner Cause of Death?
On October 28, 2007, Wagoner passed away in Nashville from lung cancer, surrounded by his loved ones including Dolly Parton. On November 1, 2007, Wagoner’s funeral took place at the Grand Ole Opry House. He is laid to rest in Nashville’s Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
In honor of Wagoner, Dolly Parton gave a concert at her theme park, Dollywood, after his passing. In honor of him, Porter Wagoner Boulevard is a street in his hometown of West Plains, Missouri. The 2013 episode of Drunk History gave a brief synopsis of Wagoner and Parton’s relationship.
