Myers’ Journey From Quarterback to Board Member

Myers was chosen for the Citadel Board of Visitors because he went to Citadel and was the regular quarterback for the Bulldogs for four years. He was also on the board of directors for the Lexington Medical Center and started the Swansea Mentoring Program.

Stanley was happy to host the Town of Swansea’s Bike Bonanza every Christmas. In the year 2022, Myers opened Countryside BBQ in Swansea. He was a Lieutenant Colonel who worked at McEntire Joint National Guard Base as the Staff Judge Advocate (SJA) for the 59th Troop Command.

Stanley got a degree in Political Science from the South Carolina Corps of Cadets. In 2014, he went back to his old school to serve on the Board of Visitors. In 2020, he was re-elected for a second term. We will miss his guidance, wisdom and dedication to our organization very much.
