In Dravosburg, 15-year-old Samantha Lee Kalkbrenner passed away on September 20, 2023. She is the daughter of Carl Lee Kalkbrenner and Nenita (San Martin) Kalkbrenner of Dravosburg and was born on April 24, 2008 in Oceanside, California. Samantha was a sophomore at Serra Catholic High School in McKeesport and a member of the cheerleading squad.

She was an altar server and youth group leader at St. Thomas the Apostle Parish- St. Therese Church in Munhall. She also attended St. Therese School and was active in St. Agnes Church. She enjoyed dancing at Steel City Academy of Dance and volunteering at the Appalachia Work Camp and Portals of Fear Haunted School. Samantha Kalkbrenner, the cherished daughter of Dravosburg residents Carl Lee and Nenita (San Martin) Kalkbrenner, entered our world on April 24, 2008, in Oceanside, California. Samantha, a sophomore at Serra Catholic High School in McKeesport and a lively cheerleader, was full of energy and enthusiasm for life.

Samantha Lee was a dedicated Altar Server and a vivacious part of the Youth Group at St. Thomas The Apostle Parish- St. Therese Church in Munhall. She also attended St. Therese School and remained involved with St. Agnes Church. Dancing at the Steel City Academy of Dance brought her much delight, and she volunteered at the Appalachia Work Camp and the terrifying Portals of Fear Haunted School because of her generous personality.

What Happened To Samantha Kalkbrenner?

Samantha Kalkbrenner was found dead in Dravosburg, Allegheny County, at around 2:00 a.m. on Wednesday, and police have confirmed they are investigating the incident. Jessica McCauley, a passenger in the second car, said to CBS she and her husband were traveling along Richland Road when they observed two automobiles racing.

On Wednesday, September 20, 2023, in Dravosburg, a school vehicle and a car collided, killing 15-year-old Serra Catholic student Samantha Kalkbrenner and injuring five others, three of whom were also students. The three pupils who were hurt are in good hands at nearby hospitals.

On Wednesday morning, a school van was making a left turn onto Richland when it was hit by a Jetta driving north on Richland, according to WPXI, quoting Allegheny County police.

The pair reportedly stopped at the scene of the accident shortly after one of the vehicles collided with the school bus. McCauley told WPXI that she and her husband were both helping people after the incident, but she was the one who got out to help a young kid who had been hurt.
