Side Order Release Date

Side Order Release Date

The second batch of downloadable content for Splatoon 3 is called Side Order. The add-on was initially announced in February at a Nintendo Direct, but now we have a release date and trailer. The September 2023 Nintendo Direct kicked off with an exciting piece of news for the franchise’s fans: a new single-player expansion.

Release Information for Splatoon 3’s Side Order DLC

The launch of the Splatoon 3 Side Order DLC is planned for Spring of 2024. It’s an extension of the game’s campaign with a fresh take on the city of Inkopolis.

A futuristic grayscale Inkopolis Square is shown in the latest video for Side Order. In what feels like a roguelite minigame, you’ll enter the Spire of Order and fight off waves upon waves of foes as you make your way to the top. The DLC is meant to be experienced “over and over,” Nintendo said during the event, emphasizing its replayability.

Damage counts when you splat adversaries in the trailer providing an extra sense of mystery to the revelation of the game mode. Furthermore, the Spire’s difficulty and rewards vary between its many levels. You will gain the floor’s reward and characteristics as you go through the levels. Some of the skills that benefit from the qualities are splash damage and movement speed.

This is the official announcement of the DLC release date for Side Order. A robot named Pearl will make its debut, and an Inkling named Acht will introduce himself and hint at a hidden storyline. You may enjoy Wave 1 of the Expansion Pass and head to Inkopolis while you wait for the Side Order DLC, which is scheduled for release in Spring 2024 but is included in the $24.99 Splatoon 3 Expansion Pass.

Take a look at other upcoming games release date we have covered below:

The trailer also features a mysterious figure identified as Acht and a robotic version of Pearl as a companion. You can take the elevator to any floor in the tower, depending on where you want to go. On this screen, you can see how challenging each level is and what you’ll earn if you beat it. The way you approach each level is altered by its unique characteristics. One such enhancement boosts the destructive power of explosives.

Information on the Splatoon 3 DLC Wave 2 Side Order

The side order is shrouded in mystery. The Nintendo Direct preview was purposefully brief, providing players a glimpse of a snowy landscape decorated with traditional holiday symbols. Many of the local flora sprang up in intricate patterns reminiscent of snowflakes, almost like a weave.

Nintendo has simply stated that more information would be accessible in the future, so it’s safe to assume that Side Order will be released much later than its Wave 1 cousin.

Updates on Splatoon 3 will be provided when they become available; in the meantime, you may learn about other upcoming games, such as the release date for Pikmin 4, and the addition of Gameboy games to Nintendo Switch Online, from the Nintendo Direct conference held on February 8.
