Ellie was born on October 18, 2013 and she passed away on September 6, 2023, at the age of 9. Daniel shared the news of Ellie’s death in a tweet. He tweeted, “I’m so devastated.. today we unexpectedly lost our little Ellie. Our home feels so weird without her.”

DanTDM also talked to his 27.6 million YouTube fans as he posted a video of himself crying while talking about Ellie. He put “Goodbye Ellie” as the title of the 4-minute and 45-second video. He also shared this devastating news on Instagram:
Fans of DanTDM also loved Ellie’s presence in his life. Because Ellie appeared frequently in DanTDM’s videos and social media posts, many viewers had the impression that they knew her personally. She became popular among the crowd because of her warmth and love.
Peggy, or Peggy the Pug was one of Dan’s dogs who died the same way as Ellie. She was born in England on January 11, 2015 and died on September 17, 2017, when she was 2 years old. On Twitter Daniel shared the news of Peggy’s death and wrote, “We had to say goodbye to Peggy. My heart is broken.”
