The late basketball legend’s birthday was celebrated by Vanessa, 41, in a touching message that included old pictures of their time together. She posted something on Instagram using the hashtag referencing his birthdate, “Happy birthday, baby. I love you always & forever. #82378.”
The new Kobe Bryant 8 Protro sneaker Vanessa created was also introduced. On Vanessa’s Instagram, a black and white sneaker teaser video was posted. She wrote in the caption:
“Kobe 8 ‘Halo’ 8.23.23. This will be one of many Kobe 8 ‘Halo’ styles coming soon.“

How Many Kids Does Vanessa Bryant Have With Kobe?
In 2003, they welcomed their daughter Natalia and Gianna in 2006. He and Vanessa have two more daughters, Bianka and Capri, in 2016 and 2019, respectively. Gigi perished in a catastrophic helicopter crash in January 2020, along with her father Kobe, six parents, members of her basketball team and the pilot.
Vanessa stated in March 2021 that her girls offer her the ability to “smile through the pain” and provide her the courage in the face of loss and suffering. She said:
“This pain is unimaginable [but] you just have to get up and push forward. Lying in bed crying isn’t going to change the fact that my family will never be the same again. But getting out of bed and pushing forward is going to make the day better for my girls and for me. So that’s what I do.”
Vanessa discussed finding the light in the darkness and how her late daughter and husband’s legacy continues to this day. She said:
“The best way to describe it is that Kobe and Gigi motivate me to keep going. They inspire me to try harder and be better every day. Their love is unconditional and they motivate me in so many different ways.”
