Robert Saleh Coaching Career
In 2002, Robert began his coaching job at the college level. He worked as a defence assistant for four years, from 2002 to 2003 at Michigan State University, from 2004 at Central Michigan University, and from 2005 at the University of Georgia. In 2005, the Houston Texans hired Saleh as an intern to work with the defence.

In February 2006, he stayed on Gary Kubiak’s team as a defensive quality control coach under Richard Smith, who was the defensive coordinator. Then, in January 2009, Saleh was moved up to become an assistant coach for the defenders.
Who Are Robert Saleh’s Parents & Siblings
Robert Saleh’s parents, Sam Saleh and Fatin Saleh, had him in Dearborn, Michigan. His father was a great middle linebacker at Fordson High School, but a serious knee accident put an end to his career. His grandpa, Albert, was born in Lebanon, so he has Lebanese roots.
Saleh and his brothers were born and raised in Dearborn. Robert was the third child of his parents, who already had two boys and two girls. He has a brother named David Saleh who is older than him and two younger sisters. David was in the South Tower when the first plane hit the North Tower on September 11, 2001.
From the 61st floor, he could see the fireball. He didn’t listen to the public speaker in Tower 2 telling him to go back to his office. Instead, he went to the 24th floor. He got out of the building before the second plane hit about 50 floors above him. David made it safely to the hallway and out of the building. This motivated Saleh to follow his dream of becoming a football coach.
