She returns the favor by offering to help him around the house, and the two of them gradually get closer to one another as a result.
Mahiru surprised Amane by volunteering to assist him carry a large cargo after the two have repeatedly run into each other and smiled at each other. They begin to feel comfortable around one another after discovering common hobbies like cooking and reading.
