Two people who met in college and became inseparable. In case you missed it, Marcus hasn’t been actively seeking a romantic partner for quite some time.
Marcus and Kiyomi reportedly got married in July of 2021 on the Hawaiian island of Oahu. After making the announcement in June 2020 on the Instagram account for their two dogs, Jaqua and Swoosh, the couple has now officially tied the knot. According to rumors, the two met the year before at their alma school, the University of Oregon, and began dating the following year.

Kiyomi shares Marcus’s enthusiasm for sports. Kiyomi spent four years playing soccer for the Oregon Ducks, as evidenced by her profile on the professional networking site LinkedIn. Kiyomi also interned for Student Sports between May and June of 2016. Spectator Sports is a company whose stated goal is to “serve students who compete in sports” using “multi-media experiential marketing.”
From September 2015 to December 2019, Kiyomi coached soccer at the University School of Nashville in Nashville, Tennessee. From June 2016 until December 2020, she coached at Father Ryan High School.

In order, there is love, then marriage, and finally, a child. The couple welcomed a daughter, Makaia Kei Mariota, on December 19, 2022, and announced the news in an Instagram post on the Motive8 foundation’s website.
They posted a lovely photo carousel that included a family portrait of Kiyomi holding the baby and Marcus embracing her, a picture of the beautiful babywearing Marcus’s football helmet, and a picture of the baby sleeping in a sweet white outfit.

This family has a lot on their plate, with a beautiful daughter and two cute puppies. Kiyomi appears to be supporting her guy as he pursues his goals. The documentary Quarterback, which will be available on Netflix in July 2023, features her saying, “I know what I signed up for.”
