Nikki McCray Husband: Read The Untold Story of Her Life Partner

Nikki McCray-Penson former basketball player dἰed in July 2023. Two-time Olympic gold medalist, and worked as a women’s basketball team coach dἰed when she was 51. The reason behind her deἀth may be breast cancer. She had a son Thomas Jr. 10 years.

Though she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013, while she was working as an assistant to coach Dawn Staley. When Staley’s team won the 2017 NCAA championship, Staley thanked Nikki by posting on social media post,

“Thank you, my little sister, my friend, my foxhole partner, my teammate, my fast food snacker, my basketball junkie, my fellow Olympian, my gold medalist, and now my angel.” 

In October 2021, again she faced health issues, as she said, “Over the past several weeks, I have been faced again with health concerns I had hoped were behind me,” McCray-Penson said.

Who is Nikki McCray’s Husband?

Nikki McCray tied the knot with Thomas Penson. He proposed to her during a match. After deἀth, she was survived by her son and husband. Thomas graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1995, he was also playing basketball while he was in college.

To work in Kendal Electric he complete his electrical engineering. While his wife was fighting cancer he was stay with her, and in order to support her he appeared in several cancer-related events. To support breast cancer patients he came in a pink outfit during the 2015 south carolina game.
