Giorgina Uzcategui Badell recently traveled to Jacksonville, Florida to watch her lover Ilia Topuria battle against Josh Emmett.
She often uploads pictures of herself with ‘El Matador’ on Instagram and shares words of affection in the caption of these posts, “As you sleep, I am here thinking that the biggest form of love is to help & support someone achieve their dreams.”
In the five-round main bout, Topuria squared off against Emmett. As a result of rising to the challenge, “El Matador” dominated his opponent for most of the bout. The fight lasted 25 minutes and Topuria won a convincing unanimous decision to raise his hand.
The 26-year-old won the bout by scores of 50-44, 50-42 and 49-45 from the three judges. Badell posted a photo of herself and Topuria after his stunning triumph praising him as a “champion” both within and outside of sports.
