The Spider-Man prequel “El Muerto” featuring Bad Bunny. The film’s director is Alfonso Cuarón’s son Jonás and he was in charge of the main feature.

Sony Pictures canceled the January 12, 2024 release date for “El Muerto”, a Spider-Man spin-off film. Benito’s supporters need not despair. The first live-action Marvel movie to star a Latino character is still in the planning stages.

Hollywood reported tweeted about the Bad Bunny Spider-Man Spinoff ‘El Muerto’.

The timetable has been altered however due to Bad Bunny’s hectic touring schedule and the ongoing Hollywood writers’ strike.

The film directed by Jonás Cuarón has yet to unveil its plot but the comics introduce us to Juan Carlos Estrada Sánchez (alias El Muerto), a hero who comes from a family of wrestlers who gains superpowers by wearing a particular mask.

In his quest for vengeance over the deἀth of his father, he challenges the wrestling deity, El Dorado. During their fight, he encounters Spider-Man and nearly unmasks him.

The Puerto Rican musician and singer who has won a Grammy has made appearances in WWE events. His other film and TV roles include the antagonistic roles of Diego Luna in Narcos: Mexico and Brad Pitt in Bullet Train.

The first live-action Marvel project featuring a Latino character was supposed to be called Muerto. El Muerto is an antihero and the descendant of a Mexican wrestler known as a luchador.

The project was derailed by the ongoing writers’ strike since further work was required on the script by mid-spring but couldn’t be completed in time.

Bad Bunny’s tour schedule, which had solidified during the film’s delay was another factor in the release date being off. Given that it’s unclear how long Bad Bunny can stay attached, it’s unclear how the project will turn out.

Sony changed a number of other theatrical releases when it removed Muerto from the schedule including shifting the GameStop film Dumb Money from October 30 to September 22. The Paul Dano-starring Craig Gillespie movie depicts the tale of regular investors who placed large bets on the gambling retailer.

Additionally, the company changed the release date of Legendary’s “The Book of Clarence” from September 22 to January 12, 2024. The movie, which is set in the Bible was directed by Jeymes Samuel and stars LaKeith Stanfield.
