Shannen Doherty Type of Cἀncer: How did She Describe Her Health Issues?

An update on Shannen Doherty’s health is being provided. The actress disclosed on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 that a CT scan performed on January 5 revealed she had brain metastases in addition to her February 2020 stage 4 breἀst cἀncer diagnosis.

Mayo Clinic states that the illness develops when cἀncer cells migrate from their initial place to the brain. She provided an explanation next to an Instagram video of her undergoing radiation treatment.

She explained:

“January 12, the first round of radiation took place, My fear is obvious. I am extremely claustrophobic and there was a lot going on in my life.”

Doherty’s admission follows the Charmed alum’s Instagram video she posted on June 5 of herself getting fitted for the mask she wore while having treatment with the caption “January 9, 2023.”

Doherty previously provided an update on her health alongside people Breanne L. Heldman and featuring Rose McGowan, Holly Marie Combs, Brian Krause, Dorian Gregory and Drew Fuller.

Doherty responded:

“I’m feeling great, thank you! When asked how she was feeling. … This audience is incredible.”

Doherty has frequently shared updates on her treatment after receiving her initial breἀst cἀncer diagnosis in 2015 and disclosing that the disease had come back after remission in 2017.

She made her statement on Instagram in October 2021. She said:

“Is it all pretty? NO but it’s truthful and my hope in sharing is that we all become more educated, more familiar with what cἀncer looks like, I hope I encourage people to get mammograms, to get regular checkups, to cut thru the fear and face whatever might be in front of you.”
