The largest artificial lagoon in the country is now located in the Tampa Bay area. Families in the Tampa Bay region may head over to the largest man-made lagoon in the nation which is now open with their swimwear and sunscreen.

Mirada Lagoon opened to the public last week. 15 acres of crystal-clear water in the lagoon are available for swimming, kayaking and paddleboarding.

With 15 acres of crystal-clear water, enough of room to swim, chairs for relaxing, a water slide and access to a swim-up bar, Mirada Lagoon in Pasco County has everything you might want from a beach: a beachy atmosphere. Oh and let’s not forget the splash area where youngsters may cool down in a wonderful jungle gym.

In San Antonio, Florida near 1 Mirada Boulevard, there is a lagoon. Previously it was accessible to the neighborhood, but today anyone can use it. Plan out your day depending on your objectives before you go.

Daily hours for the lagoon are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. In comparison to the cost of a pass, if you pay at the counter, visitors can get a day pass and save $2 on each ticket. All-day passes are offered Monday through Sunday and cost between $20 and $40.

Additionally, Monday through Sunday, there are late-day passes that are valid from 3 p.m. until closing and cost between $13 and $32. While splashing around is enjoyable, Mirada Lagoon also offers a water obstacle course, kayaking and paddleboarding.

For those above the age of 21, premium loungers with umbrellas cost $40 to $50. The numerous Cabana Cove accommodations are available to adults over 21 as well. All ages can also purchase beach daybeds and loungers starting at $40.

Every Friday at the lagoon, Mirada Lagoon offers live music and happy hour promotions. Additionally, the Kid’s Zone in the Hub will include interactive DJs and games centered around sea creatures every Saturday and Sunday at 11 a.m. during the entire month of June.
