Prepare for your return to Salem, Massachusetts, by stocking up on brooms, Swiffer pads, and/or Roomba vacuums. Disney has announced that production on Hocus Pocus 3 has begun, arriving in time for the 30th anniversary of the original film.
In an in-depth interview published on June 4, Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture Production President Sean Bailey broke the news. The executive didn’t provide any other information on the third picture, although it was announced so soon after the release of the highly anticipated sequel on Disney+. After 29 years, Winifred, Mary, and Sarah Sanderson returned to the tranquil town of Salem for another spooky adventure on All Hallow’s Eve in the sequel.
There was an intriguing post-credits scene in Hocus Pocus 2 that hinted at a third picture, and now we know it’s happening. When might we expect to see the Black Flame Candle rekindled? This is what we know (or think we know) about Hocus Pocus 3 at this time.
Hocus Pocus Season 3 Release Date
Bailey has stated that Hocus Pocus 3 is in production, although he has not provided a release date. Hocus Pocus 2, the follow-up to the 1993 original, premiered on Disney+ on September 30 of that year. However, the ongoing Writers Guild of America strike and the recent announcement of the project mean that we may have to wait a while longer for Hocus Pocus 3.
