Who Are in Barbecue Showdown Season 2? Meet the Pitmasters Competing for the Crown

The second season of Barbecue Showdown is now streaming on Netflix, and the competition is hotter than ever. Eight pit masters from across the country are vying for the title of the next American pit master and a $50,000 prize.

The competition in Barbecue Showdown is fierce, but the contestants are all passionate about barbecue and they are all determined to win. The judges will be looking for the best flavor, the best presentation, and the best overall barbecue experience.

Thyron Mathews

Together with his uncle Ced, Thyron runs the T&T BBQ business. They work together to make one of Iowa’s most beloved family recipes. They use oak wood smoke in their rubs and sauces, a method Thyron might employ on Barbecue Showdown.

Cindy Hayter

Cindy’s life is highly secretive, evidenced by her meagre 14 Instagram posts. She’s been a pit master for years and is a regular competitor in grilling contests.

Delilah Winder

Delilah is a private chef that resides in New Jersey. She is the American Heart Association’s head chef consultant and a New York School of Design graduate. Winder resigned as director of The Dorrance H. Hamilton Center for Culinary Enterprises in 2015.

Michelle Lundstrom

Michelle, a native of Long Island who now lives in Los Angeles, hosts the Absolute Fire Podcast and has over 17,000 Instagram followers, many of whom follow her for her grilled food recipes.

Joey Victorian

Joey is the proud proprietor of the highly regarded Victorian Barbecue Shop. He opened a shop with a food truck and has since expanded to offer over ten dishes. He also provides private chef services.

6) Eduardo Gonzalez

Eduardo works for the 187.BBQ catering firm. He lives in Rancho Cucamonga and is known online for regularly uploading barbecue videos.

7) Logan Sandoval

Logan owns one of LA’s most well-known restaurants and works as a private chef. He has over 18,000 Instagram followers.

8) John Boy Caddell

Tennessee’s Oliver Springs is home to John Boy. His alpine upbringing allows him to grow all the herbs he needs for his signature smoked meals. It’s been four years since he started drinking, but he’s turned his life around by learning to make moonshine barbecue dishes.

Netflix’s description of the show reads:

“Barbecue Showdown is back, and the competition is bigger, and blazing hot! Eight of the best barbecuers nationwide will have to master the flame in an open fire playground, and create mouth-watering, boundary-pushing barbecue, for a $50,000 prize.”

In the second season, eight of America’s top barbecue chefs will compete in a challenge to see who can make the best dish over an open fire. Each episode will have a different task for the participants to overcome to earn the title of “America’s Next Pit Master” and the $50,000 prize.
