Japanese women’s professional wrestling promotion called World Wonder Ring sometimes known as Stardom, is based in Tokyo, Japan.
Former All Japan Women co-producer Rossy Ogawa, former professional wrestler and mixed martial artist Fuka Kakimoto and former All Japan Women professional wrestler Nanae Takahashi created Stardom in September 2010.
Bushiroad, a Japanese publisher of card games currently owns Stardom making it the NJPW’s sister organization. With Yuzuki Aikawa serving as the campaign’s spokesperson, Stardom immediately rose to the top of the joshi puroresu promotions.
Similar to JDStar, Stardom places a high value on its employees’ physical attractiveness and often releases calendars and photobooks of its models. The in-ring fighting style of Stardom is influenced by mixed martial arts with many fighters using kicks as their primary offensive weapon.
The ongoing professional wrestling event Stardom Flashing Champions 2023, also known as Sutdamu Furasshingu Chanpionzu, is sponsored by World Wonder Ring Stardom. The occasion occur today May 27, 2023, in the Ota City General Gymnasium in Tokyo.
