The third season of Yellowjackets is in the works. The mystery thriller series was created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson and it concerns a group of female football players from 1996 who crash land in the Canadian wilderness en route to a competition in Seattle. The show cuts between their present-day adult life and their earlier attempts at survival.

Seven people were nominated for Primetime Emmys in various categories for the show’s debut season, including Melanie Lynskey and Christina Ricci in acting roles. Besides Tawny Cypress, Ella Purnell, Sophie Nelisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sophie Thatcher, Sammi Hanratty, and Juliette Lewis also star. Yellowjackets Season 3 Release Date

No announcement regarding Yellowjacket Season 3 date has been made as of yet. Season two of the show will end on May 28, 2023, however in December 2022, the show was revived for a third season.

Since the first two seasons didn’t premiere until November 2021 and March 2023, respectively, a third season probably wouldn’t air until late 2024 at the earliest.

However, due to the Writers Guild of America strike that began on May 2, 2023, the wait for season three could be extended. On the same day, showrunner Ashley Lyle acknowledged the strike’s impact on the production of Season 3.
