Ted Lasso What happened to Jamie dad

The theme of Ted Lasso is kindness. The Show maker quoted Walt Whitman as saying, “Be curious, not judgmental.” No one is beyond repair, and no grudge endures forever: Roy Kent forgave. The situation is being repaired by Trent Crimm, Keeley, and Roy, it appears that Nate will be warmly welcomed back to AFC Richmond.

However, There have been a few actual miscreants. One of them is Edwin Akufo, the wealthy Ghanaian man who sought to snare Sam for Raja Casablanca. Another is Jamie’s father, James Tartt, whose mistreatment and bullying came to light in Season 2 of Ted Lasso.

In Season 3, he was hardly addressed, but in Episode 11, he reappears unexpectedly. We glimpse Jamie Tartt’s dad in Ted Lasso Season 3 Episode 11 after the Manchester City game.

What happened to him, and where is he now?

What Happened to Jamie’s Dad in Ted Lasso?

Jamie’s father appears to be in rehab in Episode 11 following the events of the first two seasons. James was punched by Jamie the last time we saw him at Wembley following Richmond’s defeat. He wandered the streets and eventually caught up with Coach Beard, but a kind stranger put him to sleep.

A central theme of the penultimate episode is Jamie’s struggle to discover his light without having to contend with his father’s shadow.

He says to his mother, “I thought I was finally rid of him, but I always did what I did because… f*ck him, and now that I don’t give a sh*t about him, it’s like… you know when some guys can’t make their willies go hard? It’s like I’ve got that in my soul.” She says he won’t “never, ever change,” but Jamie has consistently disproven her.

She also claims that his father will be “pissed in the stands, rooting against him,” yet he is absent during the game. Shouts from his former City supporters greet Jamie as he exits the field, and two men carrying hip flasks can be seen. One remark, “He’s a tough child.” The other responds, “His dad would’ve been proud.”

Like the rest of us, you probably believed he had pἀssed away. He’s alive and well, which is a blessing. While we don’t know the details, he appears in a rehab or care facility surrounded by people enjoying tea and biscuits while watching the game. The most excellent part is that he seems happy to see Jamie, even though he is on the opposing team.
