Is Ted Lasso Leaving AFC Richmond?

Ted dejectedly boarded his son’s trip from Heathrow to Kansas City at the beginning of the season while pondering why he was still in the UK.

Ted confesses that he is reluctant to become too close to Henry after finally addressing his mother about her poor parenting choices following his father’s passing. His mother provides him with advice about parenthood, life, and love.

All of this, together with the episode’s two poignant musical cues, “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” and “Home,” imply that Ted’s extraordinary trip with AFC Richmond is drawing to an end and will soon inform Rebecca that he is leaving for home.
